Need help with a collage?

So, I'm making a collage, with little bitty torn up pieces of newspaper. I planned to put it on just a poster board and completely cover the whole thing, what kind of glue should i use? I know the paper is very thin so I don't want it too look trashy. Would spray adhesive work?
