Why does it seem guys don't respect girls in sports?

well im a guy and i've seen it happen before and i play sports!They are not acknowledging you because of your gender.Its not your looks or the way you play.They're just used to seing mainly guys playing the sport especially hockey its very ruff not saying its nothing you can't handle but they treat it with more guy code.
