Is a vasectomy operation allowed while being in military active duty?

My brother and I are going to the navy in february but we cant change anything as of right now healthwise. But once we are through boot camp and A school, we want to get a vasectomy so we dont have rugrats running around incase things do happen unnexpectadly, because frankly condoms can break. But is this allowed once you are in active duty?
